Few estates in the Pfalz have elevated dry Riesling quite like Von Winning. From their celebrated Grosses Gewächs vineyards to the extraordinarily limited Marmar and Ozyetra bottlings, this is a range that showcases the estate’s ability to translate site, vintage, and élevage into wines of remarkable depth and precision.

The Grosses Gewächs wines are the heart of the collection -serious, age-worthy dry Rieslings from some of the Pfalz’s most distinguished sites, each with its own personality and sense of place. For collectors looking for the very top of the pyramid, however, Marmar and Ozyetra represent an entirely different level of rarity and ambition.

A fun bit of German wine law: Marmar and Ozyetra actually come from GG-designated vineyards, but cannot carry the GG designation. A producer is permitted only one GG bottling from a given vineyard, so Von Winning uses these additional, highly selective bottlings to explore those same exceptional sites in a different way. The result is two of the estate’s most coveted and distinctive wines.

These are wines built for the cellar, but equally compelling at the table: powerful without heaviness, intensely mineral, and marked by the distinctive texture and sophistication that has become a signature of Von Winning.
