The Undeniable Talents of Alvina Pernot... Just Tasted While in Burgundy, WOW!

We have visited lots of producers over the last few weeks and are generally excited for the Burgundies coming out of the 2024 vintage.  The assessment can be given to the white wines as "classic".  Despite rain, hail, and frost at harvest, this helped to naturally lower yields causing most Domaines a significant loss of fruit across the board. 

What has resulted from this... the Chardonnays are exceptional showcasing excellent minerality and terroir above fruit.  The higher acidities keep the wines tensile and crisp with excellent texture.  This allowed great producers to express their sites beyond their peers.  

This leads us to our tasting with Alvina Pernot...  Great quality and mineral density in her wines that are superb!

No critic reviews in just yet, but we are thoroughly jazzed by these wines.  Alvina and her partner Philippe Abadie.  The style favors refinement, elegant, crisp, terroir-driven focus with great precision.  Stunningly good wines produced in 2024!
