An appellation steeped in history, Domaine Pinson Frères stands out, having farmed in this village since 1640. Today, the domaine is run by Charlène Pinson and her father, Laurent. Together, they own 14 hectares across the appellation's top 1er crus and grands crus (Les Clos and Les Preuses, most notably). Despite their historical relevance, Charlène and Laurent follow no dogma, vinifying each parcel differently based on what is best suited to fully express their terroir.

Note: vinified in 100% new oak, followed by 4 months in the same new oak barrels, and then another 6 in older barrels before being transferred for another 12 months to stainless; 3 barrels made in 2022

"Even more generous wood that carries vanilla and toast hints also fights with the otherwise similar aromas. The gorgeously textured larger-scaled flavors also brim with both minerality and sappy dry extract on the powerful, palate staining and linear finish that is borderline strict. It's clear that while the regular cuvée and this one are similar, they are definitely not the same wines as the Authentique is going to require even more patience, or so it appears now."
