La Ca' Nova was established in the 1970s by Pietro Rocca, in the center of Barbaresco. Before that, his family sold their grapes to Angelo Gaja and his father before him. Today, his son, Marco Rocca, is the winemaker and runs the 14ha estate.

They only make slightly over 1,000 cases of wine, split between a regional Barbaresco blend and the two single vineyard bottlings from two of the denomination's top crus, Montestefano and Montefico, on offer today...
