With the announcement of Jean-Philippe Fichet's retirement came a myriad of potential domaines ripe to acquire his enviable list of Meursault and Puligny crus. Well, Pierre Vincent, formerly of Domaine Leflaive, acquired the Meursault benchmark.

A man driven by terroir, Fichet's wines constantly push the limits of transparency, regularly displaying intense stoniness and reduction, hallmarks of Meursault's limestone-centric soils. A devoted farmer at heart, he's simply working his handful of renowned parcels with the utmost care and attention to detail.
