"A fresh and softly exotic nose features aromas of as citrus confit, passion fruit and white peach. There is excellent vibrancy to the delicious medium weight flavors that flash evident minerality before concluding in a clean, dry, linear and chiseled finish where a touch of lemon zest slowly emerges. This is excellent and worth your interest."

"Mid lemon yellow. Properly ripe fruit on the nose which is wonderful because you know that the acidity is still to come. Once more a crystalline white fruit finish, and a certain salinity. Very persistent. Lovely. Jospeh makes the distinction between the fruit acidity in Champlots and what he describes as mineral terroir acidity here in La Chatenière. Drink from 2028-2033."

"Here there is enough post-bottling reduction to push the fruit to the background. More interesting are the solidly voluminous and almost as dense flavors that display both good power and length on the balanced, stony and youthfully austere finale. This is sufficiently compact to need at least a few years of patience."

"Very old vines, some 40 some 70, some 100 plus. Lemon yellow. Even the nose suggests very considerable density, enough flesh to cover the stones. The fruit-acid balance is impeccable from start to finish, there are indeed waves of white fruit just infused with flecks of minerality, long and truly lovely. Tannins from the ancient vines perhaps deliver the extra grip here. Stunning stuff! Drink from 2030-2036."
