Here are some of the exciting wines that are sweeping across Burgundy, Paris, New York City, and now the West Coast from young star, Theo Dancer. Theo Dancer, son of Vincent Dancer is a modern-day Burgundian, but he is perhaps Burgundy’s renaissance man at the moment.  Theo has his hands in many of projects and at the tender ripe age of just 24 years of age.  Here, we have two projects, the highly anticipated “ground zero” project of Roc Breia which is Theo’s Estate in Burgundy, as well as the self-titled wines of Theo Dancer that showcase various varietals from Jura, Alsace, and Beaujolais.

These wines are energetic and detailed with great potential.  Theo is learning how to coax out the character of the grape through the lens of the land to create skillfully crafted wines.  The resulting wines are nervy with great freshness and intrigue.  It is quite impressive to observe the talents of this young vigneron.  Theo’s future is certainly bright.

2021 Theo Dancer Gamay – A vibrant Gamay from Loncier, near Fleurie, aged in amphorae and used casks, with 2000 bottles produced.

2021 Theo Dancer Bourgogne Aligote - A refreshing wine with 1300 bottles produced, sourced from Nantoux and aged in a combination of barrels and stainless steel.

2021 Theo Dancer Alpestre Gringet – A unique Gringet from Domaine Belluraud in Haut-Savoie, aged in amphorae and glass, with 2500 bottles produced.

2021 Theo Dancer Savagnin Jurassique – A distinctive Savagnin from Etoile, aged in large used barrels, with 4000 bottles produced.

2021 Roc Breia Chardonnay – This Chardonnay is a blend of vineyards from 1944, 1945, 1976, and 1977. It is fermented and aged in large used barrels ranging from 350 to 500 liters, with 6000 bottles produced. 

2021 Roc Breia Pinot Noir - This Pinot Noir is a blend of vineyards from the 1970s to 1985. It is fermented and aged in large 500-liter used barrels, with 4000 bottles produced.
