Simon Faure

Simon, formerly an electrician, traded wires for vines in 2023 when he purchased a mere three hectares of vines in the Mâconnais. Producing just a few thousand bottles of Chardonnay in his first vintage, we've seen his passion and skill develop rapidly into 2024 and now 2025. 

With some of Mâcon's most celebrated villages at his disposal, it's really just Simon guiding the grapes from vine to bottle. Everything is hand-harvested in 10kg crates, pressed gently in whole-cluster, fermented in old oak barrels, rarely racking to avoid oxidation, and only sulfured once at bottling with a minute dose. There's an inherent freshness and drinkability across his cuvées. Where Le Cras is more round with sappier fruit, his Saint-Véran is chalky and saline.

It only took one bottle of 2023 Saint-Véran 'Les Cras' for us to say "WOW" and immediately search for more...
